I took this photo back in February 2012, on a sunny and frosty Saturday in a forest near Olsztyn, north-east Poland. We set off in the morning with a group of friends and did not stop until dusk. Winter that year was particularly long and tough, with temperatures going down to -20 degrees. The benefit of such weather is that it can often be crisp, with clear air, plenty of snow and a lot of bright sunshine. As a downside, it's colder than in your freezer. Therefore, apart from supplies of food and hot tea, some booze is a must. We really enjoyed that walk and the spectacular views we saw. And I hope, so will you :)
