Situated high in the high country On top of Mt Stirling in Australia this is a famous hut built in 1981-82 for the filming of a classic Australian film .. The Man From Snowey River... harsh bush fires burnt it down however it was rebuilt in 2008. on the particular day on one of my visits to this magical high country the surrounding mountains were covered with a haze of some due to controlled burn offs that they do every year to avoid bush fires.
