I had noted the deer rut season in my diary having missed the event last year; after repeated visits to Knole in Sevenoaks I was about to admit defeat and had begun walking back to the car. To my delight and surprise three stags and a number of harts gathered under some adjacent trees. Some courtship rituals took place followed by progressive strutting and bellowing of two stags. They came together within the trees locking antlers behind one large oak (Damn couldn't get a clear shot) but fortunately they rutted a second time; which resulted in the image presented. Yahhh.
