Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in the Falkland Islands, near the Stanley.

Time

It was before dark, around 9 pm I was looking the sunset from my bedroom when that horse appear. I thought "that would be a great image", so I grabed my camera and shoot that scene.

Lighting

The south of South America had very special light during the summer, every sunrise and sunset is different. You have to be ready to photograph differents scenarios everyday.

Equipment

Canon 70D, on a tripod with a 70-200 2.8II lens and a remote control.

Inspiration

The minimalism of the scene inspired my to get image. That vast and magnificent land, combined with a great sky led me to go for something different.

Editing

Not much at all, just the usual camera raw settings and switching the image to black and white.

In my camera bag

I always carry with my a camera with 2 lenses, my favourite, te canon 70-200 2.8II, a 17-40 f4 lens and a Canon 6D lens. Plus a few filters and sd cards.

Feedback

Be simple and don't try hard. A lot of people get involve with a lot of post processing, but I don't I just get into the field and try the get the best image stright of the camera. Spending more time in nature than in front of a computer.
