Behind The Lens

Location

This picture was taken in Torres del Paine National Park last February.

Time

It was taken around 8:20 am, it was very peaceful morning.

Lighting

Every morning in Torres del Paine National Park in Chile is a big show. The clouds, the colours, the sun, makes them one of the most beautiful landscapes of the world. That morning I was able to do no more than 15 images of the sunrise, because it got cloudy very quickly.

Equipment

Canon 6D- Canon 17-40 F8, iso 100, 21s .Tripod and a 6 stops ND filter was needed for this shot.

Inspiration

I was looking for this sunrise for a while, I wanted the colours and the clouds for so long, until that day came and here are the results.

Editing

Just a quick editing on camera raw. A bit of saturation and contrast.

In my camera bag

As I mostly use a wide angle lens, a telephoto for wildlife and landscape like the 70-200 lens and a super telephoto lens for wildlife. Usually a 12 kg backpack is with me all the time.

Feedback

Be patient, Patagonia is a unpredictable place, sometimes you have to wait a long time to get the shot that you really want.
