The Zeelandbrug (Sealandbridge) is part of the world famous Delta Works.
The bridge consists of 54 pillars therebetween with 52 spans of 95 meters and a movable portion of forty meters, with a total length of 5022 meters. On December 15, 1965 Queen Juliana officially opened the bridge for traffic. When the bridge was completed in 1965, it was the longest bridge in Europe. That lasted until October 1972, when in Sweden the 6070 m long Öland Bridge was opened.
