The lower lighthouse on the beach at Burnham-on-Sea in Somerset. The low wooden pile lighthouse or Lighthouse on legs is 36 feet (11 m) high; the light being at 23 feet (7.0 m) was built by Joseph Nelson in 1832. It's the only one of what was three different lighthouses in Burnham, now an automated lighthouse it is also a grade 2 listed building. Behind the lighthouse is the coast of Wales and the island of Steepholm out in the Bristol Chanel.
