An unknown Phalaenopsis hybrid that I bought for it’s deep dark color and contrasting lip, edge, and backside. I have no place to grow these anymore because the kitties love to nibble, and have given it away to a friend after using it in the photos that I wanted to take. These flowers lasted an incredible 3 months without even the slightest sign of fading, so I suggested they be cut off above a node to get the plant in better growing light. There’s a chance it’ll branch out and re-bloom from the same spike.
Cheerio! But, instant cut flowers!
Processed with Picasa and Photoshop Elements, square format.
Upper Castro, San Francisco, CA, USA.
Dedicated to my friend Cathy who got an instant hands-on orchid potting lesson.
