Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was definitely worth the look. I actually had my daughter put on one of my old wigs and after pleading with her to let me take the photo while I was in the kitchen she gave in and was saying "go ahead mama"

Time

My best time to take photos are in the afternoon hours the sun just hits better though the windows.

Lighting

The sun tends to pierce my kitchen window and I knew that was the perfect place for any photo

Equipment

LG Phoenix 2 cell phone camera, no other equipment

Inspiration

I was looking through the contest on viewbug and wanted to submit an entry for a portrait category. I chose this picture because it looked as if it had a thousand words to explain one look.

Editing

Cropping the picture was more about the innocence of the face and not about the hair which was pretty much tangled throughout.

In my camera bag

I enjoy photography and someday hope to own a professional camera but for now my phone will have to do!

Feedback

Upclose selfies and portraits in my eyes work better if the model looks away and closes their eyes immediately turning and opening their eyes into the snap of the camera.
