Location
This photo was taken in a tiny music bar called "Ten" (? which means 'heaven' in Japanese) in Koenji ward of Tokyo. This man and few his friends got together to play jazz.Time
It was late evening but it really did not matter because the bar is in the basement and has no windows :)Lighting
Lighting was very poor (have you ever seen a bar with bright lighting? :) and I hesitated to use flash because I did not want to disturb musicians and guests. High ISO value and opened aperture was the only option.Equipment
Camera Nikon D800E with Nikkor 24-70 lens, no tripod, no flash.Inspiration
I took many photos that evening but I picked this one because you can see and feel man's love to music. He melts in it.Editing
Nothing special, just minor exposure/contrast adjustment and framing. In my camera bag
Camera: Nikon D800E Lenses: Tamron 15-30, Nikkor 28-105, Voigtländer 40, Sigma 70-200, Nikkor 24-70 (sometimes)Feedback
Have a fast lens with you and when you find yourself in front of musicians playing with passion let your camera follow your eye and stay alert for the decisive moment.
