Canon 5 D 11 with a 28 - 300 mm lens hand held.Inspiration
World renowned wild life photograher's, Berrie Wilkenson and Jill Sneezby arranged the visit to Chobe National Park is Botswana's first national park, and also the most biologically diverse. Located in the north of the country, it is Botswana's third largest park. Location?: ?Botswana Area?: ?11,700 km2 (4,500 sq mi) Nearest city?: ?Kasane, use air travel as distances are great. Established?: ?1967. ......so being at the right place , at the right time, it just happened in seconds as the elephant surfaced 5 metres from our small boat.Editing
Wildlife photography may not be post processed ! except for croping and minor adjustments. I use basic Photoshop. In my camera bag
Canon 5D mk 11, camera. 50 mm plastic pocket rocket prime 1.4 f . , 24 mm - 70 mm 2.8 f and the trusty 28 mm - 300 mm 3.5 - 5.6 f. uf and nd filters, Manfrotto carbon light weight tripod. Travelling on small aircraft limits the mass/weight and volume of equipment.Feedback
When possible on a wild life shoot, use a small boat and guide, you can and will get very close to all the animals, virtually 5 to 10 metres away at times, they seem unpreturded and the noise factor is eliminated. Always have a professional guide in the African landscape, you will see more and learn much more!
