While waiting for darkness at Beacon Fell last weekend, so I could some startrail shots, I was stood at the trig point watching the sunset over Morecambe Bay. The views from up there take you over towards the southern Lake District and this group of trees silhouetted against the misty evening Lakeland mountains just needed capturing on camera. I can still feel the calm and quiet of this vista, which was only interrupted by random owl hoots and crow caws while the sun slowly drifted below the horizon .... remarkable!
