What an excellent composition. There are a variety of textures at play here from the gills of the mushroom to the layered scales of the cone. The stalk of the mushroom emerging from the cone provides a very different view of this fungi. Here you see how it will play a role in breaking down the cone and returning to nature the ingredients of life.
