Location
This photo was taken in my home.Time
This was in the afternoon. At this point I get indirect sunlight through the windows.Lighting
The indirect light is softer and gave a nice warm light.Equipment
I hand held my Canon T5i with my Canon 100-400L 5.6 lens.Inspiration
I was shown a great photo taken of my fathers cat that was done by another great photographer and I wanted to try and replicate it with my cat.Editing
I took this photo knowing I was going to do some tweaking. I darkened the background and really emphasized the eyes. I had to raise the exposure on the left eye so it would match the right. Then I adjusted the color to my liking. In my camera bag
My main staples for my bag are of course my camera and tripod. For lenses I carry my 100-400L, 1.4x extender, EFS 10-18mm, and EFS 18-55mm. Accessories that I always have are my spare batteries, remote, flash and plenty of cleaning supplies.Feedback
If you are looking for a similar effect than just know you will be doing some post processing. I under exposed my shot to help give me a darker background and help with the overall effect.
