I chose this image as my challenge winner because it is absolutely beautiful. Everything I asked for in my challenge. Power and beauty. The mane flow really brings this picture to life. Great job!!!

Location
This photo was taken in riding hall of a small private stable, with a glass roof. So the light was natural, and it was scattering along all the area of riding hall.Time
It was about the end of the day, late summer of 2013.Lighting
Thanks to the glass roof it was a really nice light from the skies. Although it was quite moody weather outside, there was enough lights and no need in additional lamps. Interesting thing is that the colour of glass roof was green, so it made the light a little dramatic, i suppose.Equipment
Nikon d700 and my favourite lens nikkor 80-200 f 2,8 ED.Inspiration
This noble animal. Wise big eyes, mane flowing when horse is moving, strong and graceful, big and kind in the same time - all those things that i love very much in horses.Editing
I made some post processing in RAW converter. This photo was originally in colours. But i thought it would be better in black and white, it looks more dramaticalIn my camera bag
A really regular situation for me - to shoot a lot of horses, so i take my favourite pair - nikon d700+80-200 2.8 lens. I also take a big reflector with me.Feedback
Very useful discovery for me was - it's really better to take shots of horses from a distance and sitting on knees. It would help to show a correct proportions of animal. Lenses from 80-200mm, 300mm and longer will work good for it.
