Location

This photo was taken at home.

Time

Lulu and I were enjoying a quiet afternoon and it was almost time for the kids to come from school.

Lighting

The window light was nicely diffused.

Equipment

I used my Nikon D3100 and my 35mm prime (my favorite lens).

Inspiration

Lulu's expression of patient watchfulness touched me.

Editing

I chose a black and white finish in post processing as I felt color was distracting from her face.

In my camera bag

I generally carry my 35mm prime and a 15-55mm zoom. I prefer to travel light!

Feedback

Take note of good light sources in your surroundings. I am at home a lot and have found that this room gets the best light throughout the day. Find the light and you find the magic!
