Standing at the dawn at the end of a spit of land that leads down to Filey Brigg. The history stretches back to flint tools and captures a Roman look-out tower, medieval fortresses and WWII defences. It is also one of the best places to watch migrating birds. A few hours after I took this a black-browed albatross flew by but I was too engrossed in photographing waders that I missed it!!
