I love these little guys. These are called Sanderlings - part of the sand piper class - and they're all over the beaches in the Northeast (I live in Massachusetts) during the summer. They're kind of hard to capture at times - this is a nice one! They tend to blend in with the background of sand, stones, and seaweed, and they move around quickly flying away very fast in a little swarming flock. This shot is very nice with the focus on the subjects, with the focal blur fore and aft, and the color of the ocean and foam for some nice contrast and context and depth. Nice job!
