While sitting outside today, heard this roar, looked up and sat this approaching, was able to get my camera and lens on quick enough to capture some shots.
She is a B-17 Flying Fortress called "Yankee Lady". She is a B-17-G series made just after the war and did not see battle. She is flown out of Mich. She landed at our local airport, just 2 miles away. Yes a dove in my van and went over.... It was very overcast, low ceiling.
