In this frame, 4 of the oldest buildings in the city can be seen in contrast with its modern skyline: (from L-R) The Fullerton Hotel commissioned in 1919, the Singapore Cricket Club built in 1884, the Old Parliament House which was completed in 1827, and the massive Old Supreme Court Building built between 1937-1939. As an architecture lover, this is my favorite view of the Singapore skyline because it is a testament to the government’s efforts of preserving its National Monuments, even during times of modernization.
