I was tracking a storm coming through southern utah and ended up falling asleep waiting for the storm to hit my area up north. In my sleep i heard a loud crack of thunder and immediately jumped up grabbed my gear and got into my car. I had pre planned a few locations depending on where the strikes were going to be hitting. I made a gamble and went to a location near a local small airport. I set up my gear and let it run for 10 minutes, in those ten or so minutes i captured some of the most powerful lightning photos i've ever seen or captured.
