I was at the wolf den at Omega Park, a nature preserve close to home. It was a warm day and I was shooting this beautiful wolf when a stork landed nearby. The wolf immediately went into predator mode: eyes zoomed in on a potential prey, ears perked and suddenly attentive. It was such a dramatic change from the listless wolf of a second prior. I really love this shot not for its composition, but for what it meant to me to see this beautiful animal revert to kind.
