Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at the Queens Co. fair in Gagetown NB. This minature horse, Rootbeer, was once owned by our family.

Time

This was taken in the afternoon in a dark stall. I just happened to catch a bit a light coming in.

Lighting

This was taken in difficult lighting. Sometimes all you need is a little bit.

Equipment

This photo was taken with an Olympus EM 10 Mark II. I was using a 14-150mm lenses in apature priority mode. ISO 1000, 1/2000 second. This is a hand held photo.

Inspiration

The little light that was hitting Rootbeer's face at that moment was so beautiful I just had to take it.

Editing

I didn't feel there was any need to do any post production. I was just learning how to use my new camera. I was shooting in JPEG

In my camera bag

I usually have my Olympus Mark 10 II camera with M. Zuico 14-150mm , 14-42mm, 30mm macro and 45mm lenses. M. Zuico 40-150 F4 pro.

Feedback

Focus on the eyes. Move around your subject to catch the right angle and lighting. At times this is hard to do with animals.
