A very rare sight: a huge Marsican Brown Bear male staring at us from 200mts away (with a 500mm+1.4x and a crop factor of my 7D at 1.4 it is an incredibly far away shot!) is almost once in a lifetime thing. They are so rare that the reproductive population is estimated to be about only 45 specimens in the world..
The subspecies is one of the rarest in the world and are constantly protected inside the Abruzzo National Park in central italy.
