Location
Beirut, Lebanon. This is a major landmark in the country. To get this vantage point I had to pay a local fisherman to drop us off on a small rocky beach that sits around 150 feet under a cliff.Time
It was early morning. That’s the only time you can take this shot as the rocks have a large cliff to the east of it and there’s a small window of which the sun can hit it.Lighting
Was a fun adventure getting to this spot. This vantage point is not accessible by land. A fisherman dropped us off and came back an hour later to pick us up. At high tide you have about 5 feet of beach to work with. Trying to keep my camera bag dry was a challenge.Equipment
A 5dsr camera was used with a 24mm tilt shift lens. Heavy duty tripod is a must when doing long exposure. A FLM tripod was used for this shot.Inspiration
I visited Lebanon a few times and this rock is a symbolic piece of their culture and hold a lot of national pride. There are pictures of it all over the place there but non had this vantage point.Editing

Make sure you have all your equipment with you when shooting in a desolate area. Make sure everything is charged and you have extra batteries. Have learned the hard way many times. Most important of all is enjoy the adventure.
