Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken this summer while I was trekking toward the top of Tofana, the highest mountain near Cortina( 3244 m). Dolomites are so impressive!

Time

I took the photo in the afternoon, after a little break in an old campsite of the great war! The stones that are framing, are a hole probably made by a bomb! So spectacular

Lighting

I'm not a pro photographer, so I've spent a little time to get the right setting to make the mountain bright like in real

Equipment

That day I had also the tripod but I decided to put directly the camera, eos 500d Mark 2, in the middle of the hole:)

Inspiration

I was laying on the rocks when my eyes were attracted by the fantastic view through the hole on the wall

Editing

Yes, I've set the photo in Photoshop, but only to give the right brightness to the frame because it was a little dark, so I adjusted the shadows

In my camera bag

I've got the camera, two lenses ( Canon 15/85mm, f1.8 and Canon 50mm f1.8), a flash, a second battery and a timer very useful for time lapse

Feedback

You have to set your camera to the highest "f" you can, in order to have focused both the framing and the subject
