Location
I was on the edge of the Misurina Lake. We were having a walk in the nearby just after lunch. The view was lovely, so I took my camera and just take a couple of shot.Time
Should have been early afternoon, as we just left one of the restaurants near the shore.Lighting
This is just plain natural light. In the moutains it's easy to have dark contrasts as the sun light is often blocked by the mountains themselves, or by clouds.Equipment
This is kind of funny. At a time I only have a compact Nikon. I believe it was a coolpix 7900. So I guess this is just a little luck and a little "photographer's eye".Inspiration
The scenery was lovely. A friend and me started a game to see who would be able to take the better shot. It was a bit of a bet and a bit of "what a lovely scene!"Editing
Well, just a little. I always start by fixing light, so as always whites, blacks, light and dark midtones. Then in this case I cleaned up the water. There were some more debrits as the water was dirty. But that's all.In my camera bag
Now in my bag I have a Canon 80D, three lenses (50 mm 1.8, 18-55 2.8, 70-300 2.8), one or two speedlights, one tripod. Sometimes I have a couple of small softbox. But it depends on what I have to do. Sometimes I only have the camera and one lens with me.Feedback
Look around. Don't just see what there is around. Take your time, change your point of view. Sometimes the scenery is perfect for viewing and it just don't work on film/digital sensor. Postproduce: sometimes a shot that doesn't seem to work only need to be worked a little.
