I was standing on the rocks at Shipwreck Bay, Ahipara, NZ, when I took this gorgeous shot. I was a pretty cloudy day, so the colours came out nice and soft in camera. I boosted the vibrance and contrast to give more drama to the photo. I cropped it like this on purpose, to give a perspective of what it might look like to the gull. The gull is a juvenile Black Back Gull, from New Zealand. Camera settings: f-8, 1-2500 sec, ISO 400, Nikkor 18-105mm lens set to 105mm.
