Sometimes things just happen. This young cow Elephant was right next to the car and was not worried by our closeness. This is not the norm even where cars are a familiar sight to them. She was heavy pregnant as well We came across a heard and there were some vehicles right by them, we stopped some distance away. This cow walked from the side of the road where the heard was and started to cross the road, A small pick up truck was parked ahead of us some distance off she crossed behing it and as she came close she looked at it and raised her trunk and that driver moved off quickly, we were some 50 meters from her at that stage. She crossed the road at a angle which brought her right up to our car , she walked onto the side where the grass was and started to feel a trunk lengths away from the side on our car, the look in her eyes when she looked at us was so gentile and was not bothered by our closeness. Funny how wild animals can get annoyed by some cars and people but others they are fine with then close by. This was one of those times. I drive a small Chev Spark so you can understand that it could easily be a squished piece of mettle if she had to just sit on it.
