This was taken in the school hall during rehearsals for the Junior school dance recital.Time
It was late afternoon and the sun was slanting in through the windows during autumn ( in SouthAfrica April/May)Lighting
It was not planned lighting - just fortuitous.Equipment

I always carry my camera ( now its just my iPhone ) with me , was doing makeup for the recital and then the sun came streaming in and it was a perfect opportunity to take some photos.Editing
The school floor was pretty dusty if I remember correctly and I touched up some dirty spots, but that was all and tweaked colour a bit.In my camera bag
nowadays just my iPhone - crime in South Africa is pretty bad so I stopped carry and keeping my camera equipment in my car. but I used to keep an extra zoom lens and my camera.Feedback
Children never sit still so the best time to photograph them is either action shots - or those rare moments they stop to do something - here my daughter was fixing the laces on her ballet shoes.
