Behind The Lens

Location

1. This picture was taken in a walkway at Nations Park (Parque das Nações) in Lisbon near the Tagus (Tejo) river.

Time

2. In my free time, whether winter or summer, I like to walk outdoors with my camera, looking for something that appeals me. This picture was taken in one of these tours, a foggy morning, around 8 am, when the sun was trying to break through the fog to greet me.

Lighting

3. The effect of the embarrassed sun light in the mud left by the river’s water was unique. Never a simple thing inspired me so much. The moment I made took the picture was magical because the final effect was an open path in a desert that would take me to the ocean full of water to quench my thirst after a long walk.

Equipment

4. Only used the Nikon Coolpix S5600. It is a compact machine that cannot change lenses. There was no need to use flash and no tripod was used, as usual.

Inspiration

5. What inspired me was the effect of light on the landscape because the color was magnificent to photograph when you like the mysterious and dreamy effect.

Editing

6. The photo has no effect and that is why it is special because it has not photoshop.

In my camera bag

7. In my daily life, I always carry my small camera with which I took this photo. If for some reason I forget the machine, it looks like I'm naked and alone. Today I have a NIKON 5000 with an extra lens which I use when I travel just for photograph shooting purposes. I do not use it on a daily basis.

Feedback

8. The most important of all is to be alert to changes that nature offers us throughout the day. We can take pictures at the same site, at the same things, but the final effect is always different depending on the light and weather conditions. I'm just a photography lover. For those who love photography, it is not always necessary to have a large and expensive equipment, sometimes what you need most is to be sensible to the environment in your surroundings. The most important of all is to see the light changes throughout the day and be able to see those little magic things that go unnoticed to those that don’t love photography.
