Went out to Breckenridge, CO for a memorial and on the way, took a quick stop atop one of my favorite points overlooking the mountains, the trees, the breeze, and the town. Distant from the world in turn, the dirt roads always sent a rite of passage into simplicity, purity, and above all - mother earth and the beauty that her nature provides. The leaves were few, as this was a really hot summer that hadn't quite burst into color, but they showed Colorado, and they showed the yellows that were en route.
