I had climbed up the backside of some rocks, wayy up about 75 or so ft. to this ridgeline that overlooked the dam area in the direction of the sun setting.. I had no intention of shooting the light trails from the car -- but having no trigger for my camera and the darkness of night in tact.. I had the 10 second timer on my camera to use my cell phone light to see well enough to not fall in order to swiftly walk about a 3 ft wide, 20-30 yard long ledge to the end which sat 75 ft or so over the road below..

During one of the frames prior, i saw the car trails when I reviewed the shot -- so I waited and waited and waited until I saw a car en route to this part of the road, punched the shutter, nearly jogged to the edge and did what I have a habit of doing best -- enjoy the silence of the night, the falling light of the day in the distance, just filling the soul in the midst of near nothingness. Hope you enjoy.
