I took a trip to Belfast to attend a lecture given by Helen Sloan, principal stills photographer on Game of Thrones. As I was buzzing afterwards, and it was such a nice evening, I decided to detour on the way home and visit The Dark Hedges. This was used as a location for Game of Thrones and is one of Northern Ireland's treasures. Even more exciting was the fact that I had treated myself to some new glass and the first shot I took with my new Nikon 35mm 1.8 lens was of this iconic location.
