Behind The Lens

Location

This was Taken at Caldecotte Lake Milton Keynes UK.

Time

I knew that at this time of year the sun setting would be right behind the Windmill and would make for a beautiful Backdrop. September 11th 8.15pm

Lighting

Getting the time of year on this shot was more important and that's down to mother nature

Equipment

Nikon D7200 Sigma 18-35mm Art lens. Shot @18mm F8 1/500sec iso 450.

Inspiration

Its a beautiful place to take the family as its a restaurant during the day.

Editing

Only used LightRoom on this occasion dropping the blacks raising the vibrancy and a little noise control.

In my camera bag

I'm generally a wildlife Photographer that also does portraits and events. So I normally have Two cameras D7200 with the Tamron 150-600mm vc G1 but for events I'll leave the Sigma 18-35mm lens on. I also carry a Tamron 60mm f2 macro. Main Camera for events Tamron 70-200mm f2.8 vc and a Nikon 50mm 1.8. I have a big bag????

Feedback

Timing in everything, being in the right place at the right time. I often plan ahead of time knowing in advance of the best time to get this type of shot. If it was a different time of year the sun wouldn't be setting right behind the Windmill.
