Location
I took this photo during a wedding of one of my clients. The Venue's name is Hertford Country Hotel.Time
This was during the bride's time getting ready to get married, which was close to 3pm in the afternoon. We closed all the doors and window coverings to create a dark environment for the photo. It was literally a few moments before she walked down the aisle, she was dressed and ready.Lighting
I had seen this idea on Pinterest, where you get the bridesmaids to shine their phone's lights on the bride from behind. So its in essence a bridal portrait but you see the bridesmaids in the back.Equipment
I used a Nikon D750 with a Sigma 50mm f1.4 ART lens.Inspiration
I got the idea from Pinterest from another great wedding photographer.Editing
Yes I opened the RAW image in Adobe Lightroom, and I applied a black and white preset, and I darkened the background. I wanted the bride to standout more.In my camera bag
Nowadays I mostly have a Nikon 24-70mm f2.8 lens on my Nikon D750, because I like the versatility of the lens, and I then use creative lighting with a Godox AD200 and Magmod modifiers. I use a Nikon 85mm f1.4d lens for portraits.Feedback
I draw a lot of inspiration from other great and super creative photographers. I try to analyse the technique they used in their photos and I then try the technique in my photos, and many times it had paid off. I hope to be of inspiration to other photographers with my photos one day.
