Ruby, age 9½

Ruby is one of our two Newfoundland Dogs. She isn't sad — it's just the way she looks, and of course that's exaggerated by the way she'd looking up at me from under her eyebrows. Sadly, she will probably be gone by late fall or early winter. Severe arthritis and some mobility problems. She stays happy, though, and has us waiting on her hand and foot — which suits her just fine, other than the fact that we are too stupid to understand which bark means what. ツ
