The grass is always greener. I don't think it is, sometimes the best photo opportunities are right outside your front door. I live just a twenty minute train journey from the centre of London, but very rarely venture into the big smoke. Well, certainly not enough. I always long to get down to the coast because I love to shoot seascapes. I don't really think it matters where you live, there is beauty everywhere in every single country on this planet. If you look for a good composition and the correct lighting then the magic can happen. St. Pauls Cathedral is an iconic building and I love the structure it is often crammed with tourists in this area, especially with Southbank being within walking distance. When I do venture into the city I always check the forecast for stormy weather because I know there will be a lot less people milling around. This is one of those nights and to say the lighting was epic, would be an understatement. The storm clouds really emphasise the moodiness and atmosphere of an already iconic scene. I really like this composition and it's not the usual view you see.I hope you like it too! don't forget to check out my other work.
