Queen Anne's Lace is so common where I live that its beauty is often ignored. It is viewed as an invasive plant and, to some, is a nuisance. I think they are one of the prettiest wildflowers in my area, so delicate and light. They aren't a favorite of many butterflies, but some of the hardest to spot seem to enjoy them. I have spotted Juniper, Banded, and Hickory Hairstreaks on these flowers, and what a delight to see a some of the tiniest butterflies resting in the middle of their wide, white blooms. As you can see, they are even lovely when closed tight.
