Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken while walking along the Bund in Shanghai.

Time

This was the first picture I took upon arriving. Arrived at the Bund around 3:45am.

Lighting

Blue hour in Shanghai looks amazing. Definitely worth waking up really early for.

Equipment

Canon 80D with the Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8. Manfrotto befree tripod.

Inspiration

I've seen photos of people doing taichi during sunrise at the Bund and always hoped to see it myself. Finally set my alarm for 3am and headed out to see what I could get.

Editing

Did some minor processing in lightroom since it was my first time ever using lightroom. Lens correction and some basic adjustments.

In my camera bag

I always have my 50mm 1.8 on my camera when I go out just for its convenience. I usually bring along my 18-35 and my 70-200 as well.

Feedback

Get up early! Waiting for a day without too much pollution is key too.
