I work as a seal biologist on Bird Island, South Georgia. One morning I opened the blinds to see a flock of birds over the bay, feeding on something in the water. Having seen these signs before, I forgot about my breakfast and ran outside, taking photographs for individual identification and behavioural data. This leopard seal had just killed an Antarctic fur seal, and performed post-mortem processing of the prey for over an hour.
