Location
After a great lunch with friends, I headed to find the Cedar Creek Grist Mill. We had received directions and took to the back roads. Came upon the covered bridge and saw the mill. Woodland, WATime
After lunch we took to the back roads and found the mill. By then, it was around 2 pm. It wasn't a real bright day and the mill was located in a pretty dense wooded area. No rain until a little later. Great day!Lighting
I was really happy with the lighting. It kept the picture looking cool and refreshing.Equipment
Canon 7D Mark II, Tamron lens 16-300mm.Inspiration
I love the beauty of old structures and this grist mill located in the wooded area and the flowing water were so peaceful. Glad I found it!Editing
The shot is pretty much as it was shot. I did tweak the color a little bit to bring out the best in the picture. In my camera bag
Generally, besides my Canon 7D Mark II and Tamron lens 16-300mm, I carry my Canon 18-55 mm lens. My 16-300 mm lens allows me great flexibility when shooting, so it is my go to lens.Feedback
I have found Facebook to be a great place to find hidden gems in my state! When I see a prime time to go out I take advantage. Sometimes there isn't a prime time, then, I try and take my time, look at the settings and take the best picture under the circumstances that I can. Never know when I will be back that way again.
