Location
This photo was taken at the highest point in Ohio. I am self taught and have found my niche in the photography world. I am hired by different biker groups to document their benefits, poker runs, weddings etc. I ride with someone in the group capturing the day. On this day a small group was going Moose Hopping, stopping at the the Moose Lodges on a well planned route. It was a long day but very enjoyable for everyone, myself included When we stopped to enjoy the view, I walked across the road laid down on the incline and took this gorgeous photo. It is one of my all time favoritesTime
As one of my favorite photos,it was also taken at my favorite time of day, sunset. It was mid summer so I am guessing around 7 pm. All the pictures from this highest point turned out so very nice like there was a bit of magic in the airLighting
Since it was approaching sunset, there were hints of pink in the sky, so while editing I just did a partial drop down of pink and instantly fell in loveEquipment
This was taken with a Pentax Z 71 digital camera with the lens that came with it no other equipment was used.Inspiration
The barn caught my eye, and as I crossed the road I fell in love with what I saw. and took several shotsEditing
I brushed out a few random people in the background and added the pink tonesIn my camera bag
Since I ride on the back of a motorcycle, I travel light a telescoping mono pod, a zoom lens extra batteries and shrink wrap bags in case it starts rainingFeedback
since I am usually gone from early morning until late night, be well rested, and walk the opposite direction from everyone else I often take several shots in one place and move about 5 ft and take several more and repeat that several times. I will often lay down kneel and then stand. in one location the difference in height can be amazing.
