Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken in my home studio in Falkirk - Scotland

Time

This was an all day shoot but this shot was taken around mid day in uk time

Lighting

This Image is a rather old one now, created around 3 years ago for the Ceris hair brand to demonstrate colour and was part of a whole series of images, Like with most of my portraits i try to use a single light source but i also used to reflectors and a blanking (Black) plate for this concept.

Equipment

Shot with canon 5d mkIII and a single studio light, No tripod, i never use tripods ever.

Inspiration

This set of images was paid for by the ceris brand, I had around 8 models to shoot over period of 3 weeks

Editing

Yes i used photoshop, mostly dodge and burn retouch to clean up image

In my camera bag

Canon 5d mkIII and maybe 2 lenses, couple spare batteries and spare mem cards, and a cleaning cloth, I like to travel light

Feedback

keep it simple, the more lights you use the more complicated the post retouching, a single3 light adds far more dynamic light that 3 lights will
