Behind The Lens

Location

Taken in Alaska, along the Seward highway.

Time

Taken in the late afternoon...

Lighting

I waited for a break in the clouds to allow the sun to create the reflection that you see.

Equipment

I use a Canon 5d ii and I used a 16-35mm F 2.8 L to take this picture.

Inspiration

I'm a touring musician and I've got to see this location quite a lot but never had time to stop to shoot it. So I took a separate vacation to go shoot there and take lots of pics.

Editing

Some minor adjustments in Lightroom, that is all.

In my camera bag

Well when I have room, I have my 5d ii, Canon 70-200 F2.8 L. 24-105 f4L. 16-35 F2.8L. I carry a few ND filters with me if I need them.

Feedback

Yes! Be patient! You never know what mother nature is going to provide or take away in an instant...Obviously dress very warm and be prepared to wait around for the right moment(if it comes). If it doesn't? Well you try again and be thankful for the experience of being there and in the moment.
