Such a beautiful contrast between the pink & blue. There was no way I could walk by without taking a few snaps with my iPhone. This just shows how beautiful NYC can really be.

This photo was taken on a street in New York City. I always walk home from work because I never know what I may run into that is worth a photo opportunity. I just happen to turn down the right street that day.Time
I took this photo on my way home from work one day. I work and live in New York City so it is very convenient for me to explore the city & all the beautiful details it has. I remember I was actually on the phone & I told the person I had to call them back because "I needed to take a picture". I looked up and I remember I wanted to make sure I got all of the elements in my shot so it could tell the perfect story. It was taken on April 15th, 2015 around 5:30pmLighting
The lighting in the photo was natural sun because it was outside but I don't recall there being much sun. I did however make sure there was enough light to get the reflection of the flowers in the window.Equipment
This was taken with the native camera app on the iPhone 6.Inspiration
As I was walking down the street I saw the contract between the blooming flowers & the brick wall. When I got close I looked up and just saw "Spring time in the city". All of the pieces in the photo really told me a story of the urban jungle in bloom. As I mentioned before, I was on the phone with someone and told them I needed to call them back to take a picture. I wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything in the momentEditing
I used the VSCO app on my iPad. I really wanted to make the photo pop so I increased the color & brightness. In my camera bag
The best thing about taking photos with my iPhone is that I always have it with me. When I am going out to take photos I will bring my telephoto lens & my macro lens. I also have a tripod that I would bring with me as well for long exposure shots. But at the end of the day I always just have my iPhone with me.Feedback
My advice for others to capture something similar would be to just always be aware of your surroundings. Look up, look down, there is beauty everywhere. Especially in places you wouldn't expect. Also remember it may not be a subject you are shooting but rather a moment you want to capture. Make sure it tells a story.
