3 days ago, as of this writing, I came eye to eye with a Great White Shark. It was my personal in the water 4th encounter of a GWS. We both were curious about each other. I was on a SUP board. I had a clear view of the teenager. 6-7 feet in length. It had a clear view of me as well. We looked into each other's eyes. We then slowly went in opposite directions. This photo was taken in waters known for GWS. I was on a 7'8" surfboard and partially submerged. It was sunset time, the water was calm. I paddled out 1000 yards with my 7D in a SPL housing. I was in the food chain. I didn't see any sharks this time.
