Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken on the road along my ranch. I catch so many of my shots spur of the moment and this was one of them. The clouds were building up larger than I remember ever seeing before so I had to run out and start shooting before the moment and the lighting was gone. This is one of my favorites.

Time

I don't recall the time of day, but I do know it was afternoon.

Lighting

The lighting here is all to God's credit. Wish I could give you a big technical story about how I did things, but nope. I just went out and shot it. Good timing is the only credit I can take in that respect.

Equipment

This being a spur of the moment shot, I just grabbed my iphone! That's all.

Inspiration

I love taking pictures of nature and colorful amazing skies. I first looked out the window and noticed the color of the sky, then went out and saw this huge cloud moving our way, but the colors and light was what really grabbed me and inspired me to grab my iphone.

Editing

Nope.

In my camera bag

I don't carry a bag. I just work with what I have with me, usually just my phone or a little Nikon.I no longer make my living as a photographer. I used to do portrait and wedding photography. Now, only when requested by a friend I may take on a job, but prefer taking pictures for my own enjoyment now. If others like my work, wonderful! if not, that's okay.

Feedback

Shoot what moves you. If it takes your breath away or tugs at your heart, just start snapping pictures. Shoot the picture that would catch YOUR attention. Might sound pretty hokey, but that's just how I talk. I'm no expert. I just know what I like and aim to do my best or at the very least, have fun trying.
