Quiet Karelia

The region of Finland is often viewed as containing the essence of the Finnish nation. The Koli National Park is located in the north of this region and is an area that has inspired the nation's composers and artists. It was a pleasure to have an opportunity to visit this area. It was a very long drive from our rented cottage, but still a pleasure. Just after entering the park we came across this pleasant stream in the forest. Photo taken in August, 2016.
