After a grueling TEN mile round trip hike Straight up, my wife and I finally made it to the Sand Cave at the Cumberland Gap National Historic Park. It was for sure the hardest hikes I have ever done. It wasn't the distance that got me, it was the vertical rocky climb up and over the mountain. I can see why not many people do this hike. The limestone sand cave was formed by wind over thousands of years and is one of the areas most unique spots. There's nothing else like it anywhere nearby.
